Water Bath:

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 TB molasses
  • 1 tsp salt

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups gluten free flour
  • 2 tsp (6 oz) instant yeast
  • 2 TB honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 TB butter, melted
  • 1 cup water at 95 degrees F

Egg wash

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Line baking sheet with parchment paper.  Bring water bath to a boil.  Mix the flour, salt, and yeast in a medium bowl.  In a small bowl, mix the warm water, honey, and butter.  Add this to the flour mixture and mix for a few minutes. The dough should be very thick.  Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.  Turn onto floured surface.  Divide the dough into 8 pieces, roll each piece into a ball, then press fingers into the center to make a ring.  Boil for approximately 45 seconds, then put on baking sheet.  Brush with egg wash.  Bake 18-20 minutes.
